Welcome, young one!

If you want to know more about MUDs in general, this section might be more helpful.

Most MUDs are played through telnet. Telnet enables you to interact with the MUD server to run the game as if it were running on your own computer. For those who don't know how to telnet, here are some simple instructions:

  1. Dial up to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) - Singnet, PacNet, Cyberway, NUS, NTU, etc.
  2. Run a telnet program (you can use Unix, NTCRT, NetTerm, or the default telnet that comes with Windows).
  3. Once you have launched your telnet application, select 'Connect' and enter the following:
For the "Hostname" - hotl.s-one.net.sg (the numerical IP is 203.120.47.4)
For the "Port", enter - 5000
( Players on Unix systems just need to type: telnet hotl.s-one.net.sg 5000)
