Frequently Asked Questions
Characters & Classes
| 1. |
My screen scrolls by too fast, how do I shut out useless information? |
| |
If you find things a bit too noisy for your liking, you can
toggle the respective communication channel off. |
| |
|
| 2. |
How do I get the words to appear after my name on the 'who'
list? |
| |
Use the 'title' command. Type 'title' followed by what you
want to appear. You can also use color - type 'help color' in
MUD to see how. |

| 3. |
Can my character have a description? |
| |
Unfortunately, not at the moment. |

| 4. |
What's this [AFK], [QUEST] and [WAR] stuff I see on the 'who'
list? |
| |
AFK means that character is 'away from keyboard', so you probably
won't get a reaction or reply from them. QUEST means that character
is currently on a quest, and WAR means that character is currently
participating in a war. Basically, if you're looking for help,
these people would probably not be available for the moment. |

| 5. |
I've got lots of good equipment, so why does my character
still suck? |
| |
Lots of reasons. Have you leveled and trained your statistics
during a bad time? How much you gain when you train hitpoints,
mana and movement depends on your luck, which is in turn affected
by the movement of the moons and constellations. To a lesser
extent, this may also affect the number of practices you gain
when you level. Also, different zodiac signs have different
class inclinations. Those born under the fire signs make good
mages, the air signs for thieves, the earth signs suited to
a warrior's life, and the water signs excel in clerical arts.
Thus, for example, an Aquarian thief would be better than a
Piscean one, and a Leo mage better than a Taurus one. |
